Fly Fishing Lessons
Beginner’s Cast and Wade Lesson
First time fly angler? Want to learn the basics of fly casting & fishing but don’t want to commit a full day to a guided trip? This fly fishing lesson is for you. Spend 2 hours with one of our talented and patient instructors. First, you’ll go out on our back lawn and learn basic fly casting. Then you’ll walk back to the Yellowstone River, where the instructor will teach you how to tie on a fly and make a basic presentation. If you’re lucky, you might end up with a picture of yourself holding a fish! It’s a great way to “get your feet wet” in the sport of fly fishing.

What’s Included: 2 hours of instruction in our back lawn and on the Yellowstone River, loaner equipment (rod/reel, waders/boots), 6 flies. Not included are licenses, lodging, meals, rod fees on private water, or gratuities.
Refresher Class
If you have a trip or day on the water planned an it’s been a while since you have held a rod in your hand, our refresher class is prefect for you. Rigging a rod, tying on a fly, knots, casting, and more, this will be the perfect opportunity to brush up on your skills before you hit the water. We can customize your time to fit your skill level and needs. Once the classroom refresher is complete, you'll hit the water with one of our instructors.
Group Classes
Whether your a local community group in search of a special outing, a family visiting the area, or a bunch of friends looking for something different to do, we can create and customize something just for you! Casting, knots, fly tying - let us know what you want to learn and we'll make it so.
Kid's Classes
If your kiddo has shown interest in fly fishing, a kid's class is the next step to truly gauge their enthusiasm! They will learn the very basics of fly fishing - casting, knots, rigging a rod, fly tying, and bugs! Conservation and fish habitat will be an important part of the day as we believe this is a critical component of fly fishing. Have a few kids, make it a party! Ages 7-15
