We’re ramping up for summer and that means that you’ll see a couple of new (and not so new) faces here at Sweetwater Fly Shop these days. Let’s welcome Lenny Gliwa and Carlisle Jones to the 2015 Sweetwater team! Customer service is what we’re all about here at Sweetwater Fly Shop and these guys truly deliver. From the first time he watched trout eating dry flies as a young kid, Lenny has been mesmerized by the idea of fly fishing. He was fortunate to begin fly fishing at a very young age and has been hooked ever since. He began working at TCO Fly Shop in Pennsylvania at the age of 15 and has been fortunate to meet some awesome people through this sport and industry. Tying flies is nearly as enjoyable as spending time on the water for him – there’s just something special about catching fish on something you’ve created. He is looking forward to exploring the area and its rivers and continuing to meet new people here in Montana. On his days off, you might see him floating in his little green two man pontoon. In the fall, he’ll head back to State College for his senior year at Penn State University. When he’s not working or fishing, you might find him out hiking in the Park or dreaming about cool Autumn mornings spent with a bow in his hand.
Carlisle began fishing, hunting, and exploring the outdoors as a young boy in Alabama. He moved to Montana in 2013 to pursue his love for fly fishing. He joined the Sweetwater team in 2014 and enjoys sharing his knowledge as well as learning from others. While he spends most of his time fly fishing for trout, he also enjoys chasing pike, musky, bass, and redfish. Other than fly fishing, Carlisle likes to tie flies, play guitar, and hang out with his dog.
