Wow, we’ve got so many exciting things to announce right now, it’s hard to know where to start! Why not begin with the most exciting?
We’ve recently brought Mollie Simpkins on board as our first-ever Director of Conservation & Education. Mollie will be, and is already, leading our conservation and education efforts, engaging organizations, the community, and fly shops in protecting the waters we love to fish. We believe it’s so important to protect the spectacular places where we recreate and the critters that inhabit them, and to draw new fly anglers (and conservationists) into the fold, that we’re more than willing to “put our money where our mouths are.” If there’s any other fly shop in the world that has such a position, we’re unaware. Welcome to the Sweetwater Fly Shop team, Mollie!
Just a little about Mollie, in her own words:

Goodbye, for now!
With years of outreach and event management experience, she creates events and programs that introduce and educate women and children to the sport of fly fishing in an inclusive and fun way. She has served as a board member for various Trout Unlimited Chapters and led the Mid-Atlantic Program of Casting for Recovery. Currently, she acts as a Mentor for The Mayfly Project program in Bozeman. It’s no surprise that in her off time you’ll find her fishing on one of our local waters.
